Teacher shortage: Bhara Kahu college gets eight teachers
Temporary arrangement badly affecting educational institutions
ISLAMABAD:
The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has transferred eight teachers from different colleges to the newly-established Bhara Kahu Girls Degree College without consent of principals, a source in the directorate.
The transferred teachers include four teachers from the Islamabad Model Postgraduate Girls College F-7/2, two from Islamabad Model Postgraduate Girls Margalla College F-7/4, and a further two from Islamabad Model Postgraduate Girls College G-10/4.
The shortage of teachers at these colleges had been amplified by these transfers.
This temporary arrangement was badly affecting these educational institutions as there was already a ban on the appointment of teachers on daily wages.
Four teachers from the aforementioned colleges were already on temporary duty at other colleges since 2009.
