Chup tazia: Procession routes, detours decided
Procession to start at Nishtar Park and end at Noor Bagh Musaffir Khana Moosa Lane after a majlis.
KARACHI:
Traffic DIG Khurram Gulzar announced the route of the Chup Tazia procession, which will start at Nishtar Park and end at Noor Bagh Musaffir Khana Moosa Lane on Saturday (today) after a majlis.
As soon as the procession starts, all traffic coming from the city will be diverted on to Soldier Bazaar Road from the junction of MA Jinnah Road. All buses and trucks coming from Nazimabad will be diverted onto Nishtar Road towards the Zoological Garden, while those vehicles coming from Liaquatabad will be diverted to Martin Road toward Jail side. Similarly all heavy-vehicle traffic approaching the city from Stadium Road shall proceed via New MA Jinnah Road. These vehicles will be diverted at Dada Bhoy Noorji Road towards Kashmir Road. No traffic shall be permitted to proceed towards the route of the procession from Guru Mandir traffic signal and no traffic shall be permitted to proceed towards MA Jinnah Road when the procession clears the intersection. Parking along the procession route is prohibited.
