The Pakistan Bar Council Law Reforms Committee and the Rules Committee have proposed allocating two reserved seats for female lawyers in the body by amending the Legal Practitioners and Bar Councils Act 1973. The PBC is the apex regularity body of the lawyers consisting of 23 members, elected through indirect election.
