ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Wednesday said that those who voted in the NA-63 Jehlum and PP-263 Vehari by-elections had held 'ehtisab rally' organisers accountable.

Rashid said that the public had always rejected the politics of anarchy and violence. He said that the people of Pakistan support Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's agenda of progress and development. Talking about Wednesday’s victories, the minister said the PML-N respected the election rules and regulations but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan indulged in lawlessness by blatantly violating ECP’s code of conduct.

He said that the people of Pakistan had expressed no-confidence in those who created anarchy on the streets. He added that those who could not win elections would also fail in their politics of anarchy.
