Health crisis: Hospitals lack Leishmaniasis vaccine
as the vaccination is not made in the country and purchased from abroad - it may be a reason for delay

The residents of Sor Kamar have complained that the hospitals lack Leishmaniasis vaccine which is a matter of concern and the health officials are silent over the issue. They said earlier an outbreak of Leishmaniasis was witnessed in Jamrud tehsil and still there was lack of the vaccine in Jamrud Civil Hospital for the last three months. Meanwhile, Jamrud Civil Hospital Surgeon Dr Niaz Afridi said that they have consulted the FATA Secretariat for the provision of vaccination. He also said that as the vaccination is not made in the country and purchased from abroad - it may be a reason for delay.
