Hosts attained an unassailable lead in five-match series

England attained an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match ODI series after Pakistan failed to chase a world-record target of 445 runs at Nottingham on late Tuesday.

Opener Sharjeel Khan was the only player who showed a shimmer of hope with 58 off 30 balls otherwise, the Pakistan batting line up was as ordinary as it could be. However, coming at number nine, Mohammad Amir blasted 58 off 28 balls to give Pakistan fans something to cheer.

Hafeez out as Pakistan call-up Irfan

Sarfraz Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz the next best scorers for Pakistan as they looked to create history by chasing England's total of 444-3 and missed it by --- runs.

For England, Chris Woakes bagged four wickets in his six overs for 41 runs. Adil Rashid also helped England's cause with two wickets.

Earlier, Pakistan’s world famous bowling attack were outclassed by England batting as the hosts scored a record 444 runs in 50 overs for the loss of only three wickets.

A lot of records were smashed in the ODI as Alex Hales (171) became the highest individual scorer for England with his knock.

Also, Jos Buttler scored the fastest fifty by an England batsman.

On Pakistan’s side, Wahab Riaz became most expensive bowler for the country as he gave 110 runs in his 10 overs. Unluckily, he got two wickets but both on no-balls.

The most successful bowler for Pakistan was Hasan Ali who bagged two wicket while giving away 74 runs in his 10 overs.

Mohammad Nawaz was the other bowler who registered himself among wicket-takers with one scalp. He gave 62 runs in his 10 overs.

For England, captain Eoin Morgan (57), Joe Root (85) and Buttler all scored half-centuries.

The highlight of the first innings was Pakistan’s lethargic display in the field as they dropped catches and mis-fielded the ball to the boundary.

So that's it for today from our side. We hope you like our coverage, and hopefully we will join you soon for the fourth ODI in two days time.

Till then, it's Good night from our side.

Toss

Eoin Morgan wins the toss and opts to bat first against Pakistan.
