16th textile asia exhibition: Expo sees $350m deals in 3 days  

Sheikh said that around 50,000 people visited the exhibition during first two days

LAHORE: The three-day 16th International Textile Asia Exhibition - organised jointly by Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) and E-commerce Gateway - booked orders of $160 million on the first day, while deals of more than $350 million were made throughout the mega textile fair, besides marking the participation of over 500 foreign delegates. PRGMEA and E-commerce Gateway Pakistan have also signed the agreement to continue to jointly conduct this mega textile event for the next five consecutive years in Lahore, PRGMEA Senior Vice Chairman Sohail A Sheikh announced this at the concluding ceremony. Sheikh said that around 50,000 people visited the exhibition during first two days, while more than 100,000 visitors registered their presence in the textile fair in three days.
