Higher education: Mamnoon for promoting research culture
The HEC chairperson briefed the president about future programmes of the regulatory body
ISLAMABAD:
President Mamnoon Hussain has put great emphasis on encouraging research culture in universities to promote innovation.
While talking to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairperson, Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, who called on him here at the President House, Mamnoon said that research culture would take the country forward and help achieve economic prosperity.
He said that the government was committed to promoting higher education.
The president, however, said that education was incomplete without the character-building of the younger generation.
Mamnoon hoped that the HEC’s efforts would generate skillful human resource and played a crucial role in the progress and prosperity of the country. The HEC chairperson briefed the president about future programmes of the regulatory body.
