After remaining mum about her split with Ranbir Kapoor for six months, Katrina Kaif has finally spoken about it.

In a recent interview with journalist Rajeev Masand, the Baar Baar Dekho actor said her break up was not easy and it took time for her to get over Kapoor.

The interview came right after Kapoor went public last week about the break-up. Asked about emotional distress, Kaif said work kept her busy and helped her bounce back faster.

“Having eyes upon you forces you to not step up and bring your best face to the world,” The Times of India quoted Kaif as saying.

Speaking about how she handled it, Kaif added, “Even if I had a regular job, I would’ve had to go to work with those feelings in my heart. All humans feel the same emotions and I did too. As a human you will have your moments where things couldn’t be any tougher for you but I take them as a challenge and force myself to face them.”

Kaif, who is busy promoting her upcoming film alongside Sidharth Malhotra, has previously worked with Kapoor in Jagga Jasoos. Baar Baar Dekho is scheduled to release on Friday.
