“The Da’ish and al Qaeda commander has confessed that he joined al Qaeda in 2013 and received training in Afghanistan,” Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti told the media without naming him. The commander revealed that he had also travelled to Syria.
Bugti said the commander was recruiting for al Qaeda and Da’ish in the border areas.
He pointed out that the new recruits were first sent to Afghanistan for training from where they were sent to war-torn countries for ‘jihad’. “Interrogations regarding more facilitators and their group members are under way while, more raids are expected to be conducted soon.”
Security official recovered two prepared improvised explosive devices, seven AK-47 assault rifles, explosives material, one rifle, 168 primers, 40 hand-grenades, 150 rounds, three swords and Da’ish flags.
