One-day seminar: Prevalence of accidents discussed

The prevalence of road accidents was discussed at a one-day seminar on road safety at the office of Sukkur motorway and highways SP on Friday. Hundreds of people die each year in road accidents, while many others are injured, resulting in permanent disabilities, according to the speakers. The participants said over speeding, careless attitude, underage driving, use of drugs while driving, fatigue, and lane violation are the major factors that result in fatal accidents. “I am committed to create the supremacy and enforcement of law on highways,” said National Highways and Motorway police DIG Dr Waliullah.
