Award-winning Norwegian design studio Hareide Design has just released a plan for a 350-foot-long concept yacht that includes a beach among many other amenities.
Named 180m, this yacht has a 180m long "mono hull." It features a garden, a "beach" area, two pools, and a double-storey "Grand Hall" with an enormous floor-to-ceiling window and even a helipad. Hareide Design wanted to give its clients a seamless indoor-outdoor experience by providing a connection to nature.
'World's largest' pearl emerges in Philippines
"Today's mega yachts are most often designed like floating luxury hotels with interiors based on traditional luxury," Einar Hareide, founder of Hareide Design, told DesignBoom.com. "With this hybrid megayacht concept we want to shift the focus from extrovert admiration to creating a platform for actively experiencing the beauty of nature and the changing elements." The design is just a concept for now, but it would certainly make a statement for the mega rich should the plans come to fruition.
World’s largest aircraft takes rare flight
The beach on the yacht has no sand, but a sloped wading pool with waves.
The outdoor area of the upper deck boasts a garden and infinity pool, while the inside of the yacht serves as a multipurpose Grand Hall, which with its clear glass wall provides fantastic views of the surrounding sea.
World’s largest hotel to open in Makkah in 2017
The yacht will be powered by over 3,000 square feet of solar panels that could provide enough power for the boat at low speeds. For the yacht to operate at a higher speed, the diesel part of the hybrid diesel-electric engine will be used.
