FIA goes hi-tech for arrests

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) upon the interior ministry’s directives has started using the latest technology to make arrests. Through these methods the premier investigation agency has arrested proclaimed offenders (POs), blacklisted persons and other offenders. The agency’s Lahore chapter has arrested 25 blacklisted persons from the airport in two months with the help of the Integrated Border Management (IBM) system.

On Thursday, the agency arrested Ghulam Mustafa from the Lahore airport after he was recognised by IBM as a blacklisted person by the agency. He was handed over to Anti-Human Trafficking Cell.


Moreover, FIA Lahore also arrested two listed POs, Sajid Naeem and Iftikhar Majeed.

FIA personnel also carried out a raid in Lahore’s Sultanpura Road and arrested Syed Muhammad who was accused  embezeeling Rs317,773 during his service at the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) .
