Ex-CJP wants suo motu action on Quetta carnage
Ex-chief justice requests the apex court’s intervention under Article 184(3) into blast
ISLAMABAD:
President of the Pakistan Justice Democratic Critic Party Iftikhar Chaudhry has requested Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali to take suo motu notice of the August 8 suicide bombing in Quetta. Through a letter addressed to the SC registrar, the ex-chief justice requested the apex court’s intervention under Article 184(3) into the blast that claimed over 70 lives, mostly lawyers.
