Still rising: 50 suspected dengue cases reported
In most cases, locals of Malakand are unaware of the disease and that is the reason cases are increasing by the day

Dengue cases are constantly on the rise in Batkhela, Malakand Division as another 50 suspected cases were received at the district headquarters hospital. This was stated by Dr Tanveer, focal person for the dengue prevention programme, on Wednesday. “People can prevent the disease through precautionary measures prescribed by the health department,” he said. “In most cases, locals of Malakand are unaware of the disease and that is the reason cases are increasing by the day,” Dr Tanveer said. Over the past month, the number of patients increased dramatically.
