Mayoral elections: ‘All MQM representatives to take part’
“The mayors and deputy mayors in Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas will be from MQM,” says Farooq Sattar
KARACHI:
MQM has asked all its local bodies’ representatives to converge at Ghanchi Hall in PIB Colony on Wednesday (today) to take part in the mayoral elections, said MQM leader Farooq Sattar at a press conference on Tuesday.
“The mayors and deputy mayors in Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas will be from MQM,” claimed Sattar, who is now looking after all of the party’s affairs. “I congratulate all our representatives in advance for the victory. We have the mandate,” he said, adding that the party will continue its politics for the betterment of the country and its people. A UC chairperson of the party, who will cast his vote, also confirmed to The Express Tribune that all the representatives will abide by Sattar’s direction, despite all the controversies emerging after Sattar’s presser.
