He visited three colleges in region, met teachers and students

Adviser to the Chief Minister on Higher Education and Information Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani said the provincial government is not going to close Frontier Education Foundation colleges permanently in the province, rather the provincial higher education department will take charge of these institutes after creation of new posts for lecturers.
He expressed these views on Tuesday during a surprise visit to the FEF girls college in Chakdara, where he directed the college administration to continue admissions as per routine.
He also paid a surprise visit to Government Management Sciences College, Government College for Boys and Girls, Thana, Malakand and inspected the cleanliness, college administrative affairs and attendance in classrooms.
He ordered the college administration and students to make sure attendance is at least 75%, otherwise they would not be eligible for annual examination.
Ghani took notice of the delay in the reconstruction work at Government College for Boys Thana. The college was badly damaged in recent earthquakes. Ghani asked the administration to take up the matter with the works department.
Talking to students on the occasion, he said the provincial government was taking steps to upgrade government colleges to model colleges. He directed administration to send all demands in writing.
