Google to make maiden visit to Pakistani universities

Tech giant Google is finally coming to Pakistan for the very first time and has plans to visit local universities to inspire students who are interested in designing and developing content for the website.

Google has also released a schedule of they visit to the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) being the first varsity they will visit on August 30. The tour will end on 9th September after visiting the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore. During the 11-day trip, Google will visit nine universities across the country.

This visit by Google is part of its initiative to encourage small developers, designers and bloggers and also help them make more money from apps and websites. The event will introduce them Google’s monetisation products that include Google AdSense and Google AdMob.

Notable speakers who are part of the Google team including Waqas Burey Manager (Web), Strategic Online Partnerships and Ahmad Nawaz Manager (Apps), Strategic Online Partnerships.

To attend the event students have to register through the events page. Google team plans on visiting multiple universities in different cities that include Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Topi and Gujrat.
