The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has finalised arrangements for its upcoming monsoon tree plantation drive with a focus to ensure participation of people from all walks of life.
The CDA Member Environment, Sanaullah Aman, while chairing a meeting on Monday, said that special arrangements had been made to ensure proper growth of the saplings to be planted.
In the meeting it was detailed that monsoon tree plantation campaign would be launched on August 29 at Saidpur Range near Shalimar Cricket Ground and a colourful launching ceremony had been planned.
People from different walks of life would participate in the event. During the campaign, 300,000 saplings of different species would be planted all over the city.
