
This was done during a meeting held at the SSP’s office to review the law and order situation and evaluate the performance of different Station House Officers (SHOs) and head muharrars. Sukkur SSP Amjad Ahmed Shaikh took notice of the failure of some SHOs to arrest proclaimed offenders and their lack of interest in solving complainants’ problems and ordered a suspension of annual increments to the Abad and Khaderi SHOs for one year, as well ordering the curtailment of the two-year service of SHO Bagarji and one-year service of SHO Qadrapur.
Issuing a warning to the SHO of Site police station to improve his performance, the SSP also ordered the curtailment of the two-year service of the Bagarji head muharrar and one-year service of the Khaderi head muharrar, besides suspending the one-year annual increment of the Abad police station’s head muharrar.
Following public complaints, the Rohri police station head muharrar was suspended and sent to the Police Lines.
Moreover, the SHOs of A and C section police stations were given commendation certificates and cash rewards of Rs5,000 each for their good performance. SHOs of New Pind, Sangrar and Pano Aqil Cantonment police stations were also given commendation certificates and cash rewards of Rs500 each. The head muharrars of Sangrar, New Pind, Pano Aqil Cantonment and the A and C section police stations also received commendation certificates and cash rewards.
