KARACHI:
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) crossed all limits today, said Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chairperson Mustafa Kamal on Monday.

He was referring to the alleged attack by MQM workers at the offices of ARY News after being incited by their party chief.

The authorities must go after the root cause rather than only arresting workers, said the former MQM leader during a press conference held shortly after the violent showdown.

Kamal said that the MQM chief wanted bodies of Mohajirs [Urdu-speaking people who migrated from India to Pakistan during Independence]. “He [MQM chief] has destroyed three generations and still is thirsty for more blood.”

Kamal remarked that MQM leaders will have to own each and every word of their chief this time otherwise they will repent. “A few hours later, an apology will be tendered and then followers will continue to defend the words of their leader. “This is not the way a country is run,” he added.

The PSP leader observed that the one who makes such speeches is at large while those listening to it are being arrested. “The statement of the MQM chief does not reflect the thinking of Muhajirs. Both of them should be deemed differently.”

Kamal said that the MQM chief is responsible for giving weapons to young people. “He wants his party to suffer so that he could turn his followers against Pakistan. He does not care about his workers at all. He is only concerned about the income he will get from sacrificial animal hides.”

Today, a test for those who pledge allegiance to the integrity of this country has begun, he said, adding that nothing is left after the MQM chief abused Pakistan publicly.
