Vital connection: PM to break ground for Sialkot Motorway on 22nd
The Motorway will pass through agricultural lands and connect several centres of economic activity
ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to perform the ground breaking ceremony of the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway on Monday.
According to the National Highway Authority’s (NHA) spokesman, the 89-kilometre-long motorway is being built at a cost of Rs43 million. It is scheduled to be completed within 24 months.
This motorway is being built on public-private partnership and will start from near Kala Shah Interchange and end at Sambrial. It will have six interchanges.
The motorway is planned in response to the demands of Sialkot-based industrialists and traders. It will pass through agricultural lands and crosses several important roads connecting centres of economic activity and population.

It would attract a considerable proportion of localized traffic, providing quick connectivity.
