Sabri Murder Case: Police approach court to question UTP
The UTP is being held in a bike robbery case registered at a SITE police station
KARACHI:
Police approached on Saturday a District West’s sessions court seeking its nod to interrogate an under-trial prisoner (UTP), Abdullah alias Danish, for the alleged murder of Qawali maestro Amjad Sabri. The UTP is being held in a bike robbery case registered at a SITE police station. After the expiry of his physical remand, a judicial magistrate had recently sent him to jail. The police officer requested the court to get a no-objection certificate to arrest Abdullah from prison for interrogation purposes. The judge issued notices to the public prosecutor seeking comments by August 22 on the plea.
