Fruit Production: Pak-China collaborating for improvement
ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan and China agreed for collaborating in tropical and subtropical fruits in order to enhance their production and post-harvest loss management. A four-member Chinese delegation led by Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences Vice President visited the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) to discuss and identify potential areas for future collaboration in agriculture sector. Speaking on the occasion, PARC Chairman Dr Nadeem Amjad said that Pakistan gives high priority to Chines collaboration in various sectors including development of agriculture. The Chinese delegation showed special interest in sharing of mango germplasm besides collaboration in other tropical and subtropical fruits.
