Targeted raid: Rangers arrest two ‘target killers’
who have allegedly been involved in the murder of Muhajir Qaumi Movement - Haqiqi
KARACHI:
Rangers claimed on Wednesday evening to have arrested two suspected target killers, who have allegedly been involved in the murder of Muhajir Qaumi Movement - Haqiqi (MQM-H) information secretary. The paramilitary force spokesperson said in a press statement that the two suspects were taken into custody during a raid, which was conducted on a tip-off in Bahadurabad. According to the press statement, the accused belong to a political party. Kashif and Junaid were said to be involved in the killing of Advocate Sohail Anjum, who was the MQM-H information secretary, along with his two party men, was targeted on Tipu Sultan Road in March, 2010. The Rangers added that the suspects were also involved in the murder of another lawyer, Advocate Waheed Ahmed, and in the killings of at least six workers of Sunni Tehreek.
