The basics: Human rights taskforce formed
PESHAWAR:
A provincial taskforce on human rights has been constituted by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. According to a handout issued on Thursday, the minister for law will be its chairperson, while the provincial law secretary will be deputy chairperson. Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Law Arif Yousaf as well as MPAs Sultan Muhammad Khan and Izazul Mulk Afkari will be members. The secretaries of the home and tribal affairs department, establishment, administration, planning and development, social welfare, higher education finance, information, auqaf, Hajj and religious affairs, and industries will also be part of the taskforce.
