Safdar Baghi expresses concerns over non allocation of people’s welfare funds in the local bodies’ budget
A leader of Awami National Party (ANP) tore off his kameez to lodge protest during a district council meeting in Peshawar on Thursday.
“Discretionary funds were sanctioned for chief nazim in the budget but people’s welfare has been completely ignored,” ANP leader Safdar Baghi said while expressing concerns over the local bodies budget during the district council meeting.

According to Express News, though the fellow members of the meeting convinced Baghi to return to the session, he refused to do so. Later, the meeting was suspended.
