Crime: Trader robbed at gunpoint

The police have also seized Rs16,000 stake money four litres liquor and gambling equipment

RAWALPINDI: A trader has been robbed of cash at gunpoint in the Pirwadhai area on Wednesday, police said. Zahoor Ahmed, a resident of Pirwadhai, lodged a complaint with the local police that four armed men intercepted him while he was on his way to  Muhammadi Chowk, held him hostage, and snatched Rs84,000 cash, and other valuables. Meanwhile, the Pirwadhai police have arrested four persons on charges of gambling and seized stake money. On a tip-off, the police raided at a hideout in Pirwadhai and arrested Shahzad, Khurram, Kamran and Amir while busy in gambling. The police have also seized Rs16,000 stake money four litres liquor and gambling equipment.
