The executive committee of the regulatory body of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has resolved that all medical and dental colleges will be recognised in accordance with the stringent rules and regulations.
The decision was taken in the wake of 15 federal government requests for recognition of new medical colleges.
In addition, it was also decided that requests of any medical or dental college for enhancement of annual seats could only be considered after PMDC inspections.
The committee members also agreed upon penalising those institutes whose admission intake had ceased, however, had continued student enrolment.
