Ingredients
For chicken
Chicken breast -- 2, sliced from middle
Worcestershire sauce -- 2 teaspoons
Mustard -- 1 ½ teaspoon
Coarsely ground black pepper -- 2 teaspoons
Salt -- to taste
Garlic -- 3 cloves, smashed
For sauce
Butter -- a knob
Onion -- ½, sliced
All-purpose flour -- 2-3 teaspoons
Chicken broth -- 1 cup
Coarsely ground black pepper -- ½ teaspoon
Salt -- to taste
Method
Marinate chicken with Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic, pepper and salt. Prick the chicken with a fork, so it can absorb flavours well and set aside for at least half an hour. When marinated, shallow fry the chicken for five minutes on both sides. Rest chicken for five minutes.
Now make the sauce by caramelising onions in a knob of butter. Cook flour and add chicken broth. Add salt and pepper and let the sauce thicken. Take off heat once thick.
Now plate the chicken first and smother sauce all over it. Serve with a side of fries or slaw.
