IHC clubs bail pleas of accused in DHA scam
NAB arrested the suspects for misusing their authority and violating contracts
ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad High Court has decided to club together post-arrest bail applications of two suspects facing trial in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Islamabad project scam case.
A division bench comprising Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah decided to hear the related cases jointly while hearing arguments over the bail application of former CEO of Elysium Holdings Pakistan Ltd Waseem Aslam Butt.

NAB arrested the suspects, an ex-director project of DHA Col (r) Sabahat Qadeer Butt, an ex-administrator of DHA Brig (r) Javed Iqbal for misusing their authority and violating the contract by selling allotment certificates of DHA Islamabad illegally and in violation of the agreement between the DHA and Elysium Holdings Pakistan.
The civilian suspect through his counsel Abdul Aziz has sought bail from the court, saying he was being used as ‘scapegoat’ to protect the real culprits.
