Summer camp concludes: People-friendly policing to be promoted

ISLAMABAD:
Concerted efforts are being made to promote a people-friendly police service in the capital, said Islamabad Police Inspector-General Tariq Masood Yasin.
He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of the Police Summer School on Monday.
The 30-day summer camp was held for children between the ages of four to 14 at the Police Lines Headquarters, in H-11.
The various activities for students comprised basic computer learning, swimming, horse riding, and martial arts.
The notable attendees of the event included IGP Islamabad Masood Yasin, AIG General Nisar Ahmad Tanoli, SSP Security Mir Vais Niaz, SSP Headquarters Muhammad Bin Ashraf, SP Headquarters Sumaira Azam, as well as other notable police officials.
Yasin said that as the youth were our future, it was imperative that they internalised a good image of police officials to catalyse positive change.
He added that the summer school was a manifestation of the affable attitude of the Islamabad police.
