WBC president honours Army chief with championship belt
Raheel Sharif receives belt for his efforts to bring peace and harmony in country
British-Pakistani boxer Amir Khan met Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif at the General Head Quarters (GHQ) and gave him the honoury championship belt from the World Boxing Council (WBC) president.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaimán honoured the army chief with the belt from for his effort to bring peace and harmony in the country.

In 2014, Amir had called on General Raheel in Rawalpindi and expressed solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces after the Army Public School (APS) carnage which left more than 140 people, mostly students, dead.
He also visited the Combined Military Hospital and inquired after the health of the injured students.
