“The gathering shows a feeling of independence and love of the country which our forefathers liberated after matchless sacrifices,” he said.
Prof Ashraf said that August 14 was a day of great happiness for the nation because it “reminds us that we must educate our community to stand united and work for the betterment of education and progress of the country”.
QAU Department of History and Dean Social Sciences Chairman Dr Sayed Wiqar Ali Shah urged for working hard to achieve progress and prosperity.
NIHCR Officer Incharge Umar Hayat said the NIHCR has been doing its best to dig out the true history and culture. He said that Pakistan came into being after innumerable sacrifices by our forefathers. “It is our duty to educate our children about how Pakistan became a reality”.
