The website contains PTC training manual of 2012, K-P Police Training Policy 2013, different courses the college offers, various rules and regulations pertaining to police training, recent directives issued by IGP Nasir Khan Durrani, relevant laws, guidelines, publications and important links. PTC, the oldest and historical police training institution established by the then British rulers was established as a police recruit centre in 1935 and was upgraded to the level of a school in 1938. It received the status of a police college in 1991 and has been serving the needs of police education for the last 82 years.

The college offers basic recruitment courses and specialised trainings to not only the K-P police but also to officials of other law-enforcement agencies and provincial police departments.
