In a surprising turn of events, Travly co-founder Talaal Burny has joined app-based car booking service Careem.

Burny was the co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of Travly, a rickshaw hailing service that has recently raised over $200,000 from CresVentures.

In a statement posted on his Facebook, Burny revealed that he had relieved himself from all operational duties at Travly around 20 days ago. Describing his connection with Tavly as a never ending "love story", he said, “I will always be a part of Travly, and Travly will always be a part of me. No one can suffocate that space. This love story has no ending.”
