He questioned why female officials were not present to question female workers and relatives

KARACHI: Attempts are being made to create hurdles in the political activities of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) by increasing raids on party offices and arrests of its workers, said MQM deputy convener Shahid Pasha at a press conference on Thursday. Pasha stated that the authorities had given a free hand to criminal elements and the operation was now being used as a pretext to solely target the MQM. He claimed that the MQM was the sole political representative of Karachi, adding that even though the MQM was cooperating to ensure that the operation was successful, it was still being targeted. He questioned why female officials were not present to question female workers and relatives, referring to the harassment of the sister of MQM worker Amir Baig.
