Atlas Honda’s net profit up 218%

Atlas Honda’s net profit increased 218 per cent to Rs712 million for the first nine months of the current fiscal year against Rs224 million in the same period last year.
Atlas Honda is a joint venture between the Atlas Group and Honda Motor Company Limited, Japan which manufactures motorcycles. Net sales of the company almost doubled to Rs25 billion from Rs13 billion in the same period last year. Earnings per share (EPS) increased from Rs8.97 to Rs13.10. Atlas Honda Limited announced a final cash dividend of Rs5 per share. The board of directors in its meeting on Friday also recommended bonus shares with a proportion of three shares for every 20 shares.
Other operating income also increased 161 per cent to Rs233 million this year.
