KOHAT:

The police have arrested four suspects in the murder of an Indian woman in Kohat. Further investigation is now under way, a Kohat district police officer told the media on Tuesday.

“It was first reported Aisha committed suicide and was found dead in her room, but investigation revealed it was a case of murder” the DPO said.

Aisha was married to Abdul Wahid in Dubai some 15 years ago. Wahid’s younger brother Adnan told The Express Tribune that Aisha was still an Indian national and had applied for Pakistani citizenship 10 years ago.

The family was hoping to receive confirmation in this regard in 2016.

“She lived with her family in KDA, Kohat and had travelled to India multiple times after shifting to Pakistan,” the brother added. The police have confirmed the arrest of two men and two women in the case, but their identities were kept secret due to security reasons.
