Public health: ‘Audit of health facilities underway’
MULTAN:
Advisor to Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq has said that a third party audit of health facilities is underway across the province. He was presiding over a joint meeting of health managers from Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions on Tuesday. He said the medical profession was a sacred one and doctors should not shirk duties at public hospitals. He said action should be taken against those found holding private practice during work hours. Rafiq expressed concern over non-availability of senior doctors in outpatient departments (OPD) of public hospitals. Special Health Secretary Sajid Mehmood said there was a need to raise awareness about facilities available at public hospitals.
