Just when you think Game of Thrones couldn’t get any bigger, it catches you off guard with an unexpected twist, in a way similar to the sudden deaths on the show.

This time, however, the surprise is a pleasant one — something definitely worth looking forward to. According to Variety, Live Nation, a California-based event company recently announced the Game of Thrones Live Concert Tour, set to kick off in 2017 across 28 cities in the US and Canada.

The announcement was made at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. According to the producers, the show aims to combine music and visual experiences to bring the Seven Kingdoms to life in a way that has never been projected before. The event began with the University of South California band, marching through the streets playing the popular show theme. At the venue, actor Isaac Hempstead, who plays Bran Stark in the epic drama, introduced the composer of the beloved theme, Ramin Djawadi, who also happens to be the mastermind behind the tour.

“We were in the studio together, reviewing some music and someone said, ‘I would love to see this live. I want to see a full orchestra. I want to see a choir.’ So we went from there,” said Djawadi, explaining how the idea came to be.

“We designed a stage that will be 360 degrees. There won’t be a bad seat in the house.” The show will be a combined experience of special stage designs and massive LED screens. The playlist will reportedly include some of the most popular themes from the show, including Light of the Seven, The Children and Mhysa.

“I think what is so great about Game of Thrones, is that there is such a variety of music. The variety is what’s fun about it,” Djawadi said, reported Entertainment Weekly. “There’s a lot of preparation in getting all the little nuances right. The one I’m really excited about is Light of the Seven, which was such a great surprise to the viewers, because it’s the first time we’re using piano. Besides the orchestra and the choir, we will have the piano and that piece to play. That’ll be really great live.”

The composer added that the purpose of the tour is to summarise the show through its music. “There are a lot of different locations and events to cover. If you come and watch this concert, you really get a nice summary and a look back on the past seasons,” he said.

The Game of Thrones Live Concert Tour will kick off in February 2017 in Kansas City, US. Live Nation has announced that the tickets will be on sale from August 13. The conceptual video of the stage, released by the organisers, shows a 360 degree stage with two large platforms for King’s Landing and Winterfell. There are also mini platforms that will represent Meereen, Dorne and other smaller settings from the show. The nucleus, the main centre point of the stage, is going to be The Iron Throne.
