Say no to corruption: Traffic police joins NAB drive

ITF has started printing the NAB’s message “say no to corruption” on thousands of driving licences

The Islamabad Traffic Police has joined the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s campaign against corruption, said a
press release issued on Monday.

To spread the message against corruption it was proposed that the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITF) print the NAB message “say no to corruption” on all driving licences.

The Islamabad Traffic Police has responded very positively and has joined the NAB’s National Campaign against corruption, the press release said.

In this respect, Islamabad Traffic Police has started printing the NAB’s message “say no to corruption” on thousands of driving licences supporting the cause of creating awareness against the ill effects of corruption among the masses.

Chaudhry has welcomed the printing of NAB’s message on all driving licences issued by the ITF to make people aware of the ill effects of corruption.

On the directions of the NAB Chairperson, Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, the bureau is aggressively pursuing an “awareness and prevention” campaign throughout Pakistan to curb corruption and corrupt practices.

The NAB has been mandated under section 33C of the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO) 1999 to educate and advise public authorities, holders of public office and the community at large.

Chaudhry said that the struggle against corruption was not for a single person or institution, rather its responsibility lied on every citizen.

“We can only win this war through collective efforts. We need to show cooperation and a spirit to fight the menace of corruption,” the NAB chairperson said.
