Without a trace: Three children, PML-N activist go missing
They disappeared in Abbottabad, Mansehra over a week
ABBOTTABAD:
At least three children and an activist of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz mysteriously disappeared from Abbottabad and Mansehra districts over the past week.
An official privy to the development told The Express Tribune, 14-year-old Naveed Ahmed and his first cousin Abdul Rehman went missing in Abbottabad. They were residents of Kunj Mohallah and were studying at Government High School Fawara Chowk.
“They went to school but did not return home,” he said.
As per the official, it is still unclear whether he was kidnapped or not.
The family has informed the Cantonment police station about the incident. However, the police have not been able to ascertain their whereabouts.
A PML-N activist also went missing from Banda Sher Khan. He has been identified as 30-year-old Sajid Saeyen. According to his family, Sajid went to the market on August 4 but did not return home. His cell phone has been switched off. The family has registered a case against the incident.
In another incident, a minor, identified as Shamsa Munsif, went missing in Mansehra on August 4. The girl hailed from Sufaida village and was on his way home from school. An official of City police station told The Express Tribune a case has been registered against Umar for kidnapping Shamsa. He had been named in the FIR by the girl’s father.
