Monsoon spell: Rain hits Karachi
According to Met office, people can expect similar rainfall till Saturday and scattered showers on Sunday

City received heavy rainfall on Friday as the second spell of monsoon reached southern parts of Sindh.
According to Met office director Abdul Rashid, people can expect similar rainfall till Saturday and scattered showers on Sunday. Meanwhile, the extra high-tension line of K-Electric coming from Bin Qasim plants tripped cutting power supply to Dhabeji pumping station, North Nazimabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Garden, Defence Housing Authority, Clifton and some parts of Saddar, according to K-Electric marketing and communication chief Fakhar Ahmed. Also, the 72-inch-diameter pipeline of Dhabeji pumping station also exploded, said Karachi Water and Sewerage Board water trunk chief Zafar Palijo.
