In cold blood: Woman sent to prison for husband’s murder
ABBOTABAD:
A woman was sent to jail at a village in Lora Town, Abbottabad on Thursday for allegedly killing her husband.
An official of Lora police told The Express Tribune, Rubina has been forced to marry her father’s murderer. She decided to take matters into her own hands and shot her husband at their house.
The official cited Hazra Wali, a resident of Balgadaiya village, as saying that the deceased was his 26-year-old brother Zar Wali.
“Hazra informed us that Zar was accused of murdering Mast Ali about two-and-a-half years ago,” he said. “After the incident, Zar forcibly solemnised his marriage with Rubina, Mast Ali’s daughter.”
“On Wednesday evening, Rubina opened fire on Zar while he was asleep in his room,” he said. “Zar died on the spot.”
