In surplus: Town-IV unveils budget Rs440.4m
PESHAWAR:
The Town-IV Municipal Administration of Peshawar has unveiled a surplus budget with a total outlay of over Rs440.4 million for FY2016-17 in a budget session held at Town Council Hall on Thursday in the city. It was passed with a majority of votes.
The session was chaired by acting convener Nasru Minallah and the speech was presented by Town-IV nazim Haroon Siffat. It was attended by town members and Town-IV tehsil municipal Officer Wahidur Rehman.
The total expenditure in the budget was estimated at over Rs43.8 million and the surplus amount was Rs3.1 million. In his budget speech, Siffat said an amount of more than Rs120 million was set aside in the budget for current expenditure, of which over Rs80 million will go to the salaries of employees. Rs30 million has been set aside for non-salaried expenditure, while over Rs15 million has been earmarked for Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar.
