Sacked: KU dismisses five employees 

The University of Karachi’s (KU) administration has terminated five contract-based employees

KARACHI: The University of Karachi’s (KU) administration has terminated five contract-based employees from their services as they failed to qualify for the selection boards.

The sacked employees include assistant registrar Shahzad Pervez, accounts officer Syed Rashid Ali, assistant controller Azhar Khan, liason officer Maqsoodus Saqlain and accounts officer Muhammad Zohaib.

Moreover, as per directives of the university’s vice-chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser the salaries of some employees have been stopped till further order due to their absence from service.

The employees whose salaries have been stopped include Muhammad Atif from enrolment section, Alamgir and Lavi Masih from Institute of Space and Planetary Astrophysics, Ghulam Mohiuddin and Abdul Haseeb from engineering department.

It also includes Mahmood Ahmed from PIO Office, Tabish Sultan from audit office, Arshad Ali Baig and Kamranuddin from accounts section and Umair Amin from engineering dept.
