Indian-held Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was forced on Sunday to cut short a visit to a Srinagar examination venue following a demo by exasperated parents of students, Times of India reported.
Mufti had gone to Women’s College on Maulana Azad Road to inspect examination arrangements when students’ parents started demonstrating against her visit. "This is an unnecessary visit. It will only disturb the candidates," one of the demonstrators said.

Another said students were already stressed due to unrest in the valley. He said the chief minister’s visit would leave them even more perturbed. “How will they remain focussed?” the person questioned. Mufti left the spot in the wake of the protest.
