NEW YORK:
Actor Priyanka Chopra is known for juggling multiple projects at the same time and for her multitasking ability.

She made a name for herself in the Indian film industry, experimented with her vocals and even proved her worth on American television, before finally moving on to Hollywood. She recently shared that she wants to go further in the field of music but has been unable to do so because managing careers in two different continents is an uphill task.

The Dostana star started her international singing career with the single In My City, which was released back in 2012. She later collaborated with American rapper Pitbull for her second single Exotic. “Handling two careers in two continents is hard enough,” she said in an interview recently. “Between Quantico, I’ve shot my Hindi film which was called Bajirao Mastani that released in December and my Hollywood movie which is Baywatch, which will release next year.”

Both movies were shot and completed while the actor was working on the first season of her television show, Quantico, in which she stars as Alex Parrish. “So yes, between all of that, it was hard to go to the studio and make music.”

She went on to add, “I’ve just not had the time. Pharrell (Williams) spoke to me the other day and so many amazing musicians you know, who I’ve met, thanks to my little stint in music. I think I did music because I just love musicians. I mean, I love music but I love musicians too.”

She also shared her experiences of working with prominent names in the international circuit. “It was so cool to work with such amazing people, to watch will.i.am work his magic in the studio. I remember sitting there, watching him put things together. And to see Bruce Springsteen back stage. It’s been such a great journey; I definitely want to do it again. I’m just really spread thin right now.”

She will soon be hosting United Nation’s Global Citizen Festival and is also busy shooting for Quantico’s season two. On the Bollywood front, the actor’s movie Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, recently clocked 12 years of its release. According to Priyanka, it also happens to be her favourite movie.  She took the opportunity to thank her co-stars Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, who featured in the David Dhawan directorial.

The Mary Kom star took to Instagram on Friday to share the 2004 film’s poster and captioned it: “Still one of my favourite movies. 12 years of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Thank you to everyone who has loved it. Salman, Akshay, David sir, Sajid, Amrish Puri and everyone involved.”

The film revolves around Sameer, a hot-tempered young man, who relocates to Goa, where he falls in love with Rani (Priyanka). But his new roommate Sunny behaves like a spoke in the wheel, as he has some tricks up his sleeve to make sure things do not go well for the two.
