Dozens of protesters blocked the Sheikhupura-Shahdara Road on Saturday to protest against an alleged kidnapping. Parents of Owais Ashraf, 18, said that their son worked at a hotel. “He went to work early in the morning on Saturday, but unidentified people kidnapped him on the way. Passers by witnessed the incident,” they said. However, they said police had not registered a case. Shahdara police said Ashraf had called his family. “His number has been traced. He is in Sialkot. We will soon bring him back. He probably went there voluntarily,” police said.
